Episode # 28- Christmas in Dubai


The race to Christmas time was even more pronounced this year at our school. With over 700 college applications to send out in the counseling office, and jenn busy preparing parties, and crafts for her kiddos, our school was visited by the the local inspection board- the KHDA.  Although much of the work surrounding the inspection is done before they arrive, it makes things stressful on campus when inspectors are around. Everything went well for the inspections and fittingly the school's christmas party was that following weekend.

It was great to NOT immediately jump on a plane when school ended and to be able to relax for a few days when the Winter Holiday began.   We were very luck to have Jenn's mother, Amy, visit us for the winter break. We decided to have her come along on a short visit to Jordan for a visit to the ancient ruins of Petra and a quick stop in the dead sea.  I'll put the pictures of Jordan and Petra on the next post, but here are some pictures of Amy's visit to Dubai....

On Amy's final evening with us we took her to our fav restaurant- The Mango Tree that overlooks the Burj Khalifa and the Fountains at Dubai Mall.  A nice finish to Amy's stay with us.
